Apple Crisp Macchiato

Makes about 2/3 cup syrup; 1 serving macchiato

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons spiced apple syrup

  • 3/4 cup Wide Awake Coffee Co. Cold Brew Unsweetened Espresso Blend, chilled
  • 1/4 cup Wide Awake Coffee Co. Salted Caramel Dairy Creamer
  • Food Club Whipped Topping
  • Food Club Caramel Syrup
  • Food Club Ground Cinnamon
  • Cinnamon Sticks (optional)

For the Spiced Apple Syrup:

  • 1 apple, sliced
  • 1/3 cup Food Club Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Food Club Apple Juice
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon apple pie spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

For the Spiced Apple Syrup:

  1. Simmer sliced apple, brown sugar, apple juice, water, and spices in a small saucepan over medium heat. Cook until liquid is reduced by half and is syrupy, about 20 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat, let cool, then strain into a clean jar. Stir in vanilla.

For the Macchiato:

  1. Measure spiced syrup into a serving glass. Fill glass with ice, then add cold brew.
  2. Slowly pour creamer on top of coffee. (Tip: Pour it into the glass over the back of a spoon to create a layered effect!)
  3. Top with whipped cream, caramel sauce, and sprinkle with cinnamon. Add a cinnamon stick if desired. Serve immediately.
