Surrounded by community members, Brookshire Brothers employee owners, and members of the Lufkin/Angelina County Chamber of Commerce, Brookshire Brothers officially announced its newest commitment to the Huntington community—the site of its new grocery store, Tobacco Barn and convenience store, and fuel station.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Brookshire Brothers Charitable Foundation, a 501c3 organization that enhances Brookshire Brothers’ century-long legacy of giving. “We wanted to create a fall festival atmosphere for this event in order to provide families with a safe and fun Halloween experience right here in our own hometown,” said Brookshire Brothers Public Relations & Corporate Responsibility Manager Melissa Crager.
Over the past decade, the Brookshire Brothers Charitable Foundation has distributed more than $1 million to numerous nonprofit organizations who speak directly into the heart of Brookshire Brothers and the company’s desire to support those in need. The Lufkin ISD Education Foundation is one such recipient.
