National Picnic Day

July is National Picnic Month, so we're taking the time to celebrate spring and enjoy the fun of the outdoors. Plan a day to pack a delicious lunch and settle into a beautiful space.

Brookshire Brothers has some picnic hacks and items you will love.

Step 1: Find the Perfect Spot

Perfect Picnic Spot

Finding the a beautiful spot for your picnic is the first step in creating a moment you will never forget. Make sure you have a mostly clean spot to lay your blanket and a gorgeous view.

Our preferred spot at the corporate office is the Ellen Trout Zoo. If you travel down the walking path, you will eventually reach an alcove in the trees. Follow this to a little hill overlooking the pond. This spot is absolutely perfect for picnics!

Step 2: Bring the Right Supplies

Simply Done Picnic

To prepare for the ultimate picnic experience, you need the right supplies. Simply Done has everything you could want to stay mess free in style this spring.

Pick up some plastic or paper plates, napkins, cutlery and even a table cloth if you'll be dining at a place like a park.

If the sun has already started sticking around more than usual, plan ahead and bring some sunscreen. TopCare has what you need to prepare or react with skincare like sunscreen and aloe vera gel.

Think ahead for items you might need to prepare and serve your food like a cutting board, ice packs, a bottle opener. Add items like hats and frisbees to increase your comfort level.

Step 3: Pick the Perfect Picnic Food

Picnic Food

When it comes to picnic food, you'll want to choose something simple yet delicious. Pre-prepare any complex items or make sure you have the utensils you will need to do so on-site.

Choose items that embrace spring like fresh fruits and veggies, and bring a cold drink to refresh everyone in the sun. Don't forget key items related to your dish like condiments.

For cleanup, grab your trash bags and wet wipes. Add hand sanitizer to keep things clean while you all enjoy yourselves in the outdoors.

Overall, just do it! Enjoy the picnic however you make it. Happy spring!
