Muscato Grapes

Melissa’s Tri-Color Muscatos™ Grapes grower operates out of the Central Valley in sunny California — they’re family-owned and operated for 3 generations, spanning over 30 years!

Melissa’s Tri-Color Muscatos™ contain pristine red, green and black seedless table grape varieties. You’ll love the crisp texture and refreshing, juicy interior — just like you’d expect with a sweet Muscat wine heritage.

Fun fact: The compound hexanol is a major contributor to grape flavor; it is also a key aroma in pomegranates and green vegetables such as green beans and lettuce.

Melissa’s Tri-Color Muscatos™ Grape Benefits:

  • Heart health: grapes are a low fat, cholesterol and sodium food. While many factors affect heart disease, diets low in saturated fat and cholesterol may reduce the risk of this disease. Grapes contains no saturated fat or cholesterol.
  • May lessen oxidative stress: grapes have polyphenols and other components that may have antioxidative effects that will help the body lessen oxidative stress.
  • Supports immune system function: red and green grapes are rich in copper, which is involved in the functioning of the immune system.
  • Brain health: grapes have flavonoids that may offer neuroprotective benefits.

Helpful Tips:

  • Consume table grapes fresh or cooked. Grapes have an affinity for sour flavors and fruit-like vegetables — think, bell peppers, pumpkin and tomato.
  • During summer, grapes take center stage on cheese boards, grazing boards and charcuterie. We also love freezing them as a refreshing cool-down snack when the weather is warm.
  • Best pairings with grapes: arugula, walnuts, mustard, vinegar, honey, stone fruit, cilantro, Sichuan peppercorns. Surprise pairings for the adventurous: pumpkin, peppers, beets.

How to Freeze Grapes for a Refreshing Snack:

  • Wash grapes and remove stems
  • Single layer grapes on a baking tray lined with non-stick paper
  • Freeze until firm, then transfer to an airtight container and store in the freezer
