Brookshire Brothers raises funds for Coldspring Area Public Library

$2,364 was raised during National Library Awareness Week

COLDSPRING, TEXAS (May 10, 2024)…Public libraries are the heart and soul of a community. They open up worlds unknown and offer the chance to meet the most interesting characters.

Each year, Brookshire Brothers hosts a fundraiser during National Library Awareness Week in support of the Coldspring Area Public Library (CAPL). This year, they raised an incredible $2,364 from April 7-13.

Customers are asked to donate $1, $3 or $5 when they check out, and 100% of the proceeds go back to support programs at the library.

“As a company, Brookshire Brothers supports programs and initiatives aimed at education. We couldn’t ask for a better partner than our public libraries, and we love to see the way the community comes together to make this fundraiser successful year after year,” said Brookshire Brothers’ Public Relations and Corporate Responsibility Manager Melissa Crager.

The CAPL offers a variety of free educational courses and a summer reading program for students in grades kindergarten through 6th. In addition to their vast assortment of books, eBooks and audio books, they also have a computer lab, allowing library patrons to print, copy, scan and fax documents.

Coldspring Area Public Library is thankful for the support of our wonderful community, not only during National Library Week, but year-round,” said CAPL librarian Maggie Moseley. We are especially grateful for Brookshire Brothers, whose partnership helped to raise funds to help the Library to continue services for our community. Thank you all for your contributions and endless support.
