Brookshire Brothers rang in the New Year with a bang as it opened its latest retail location in Hudson, TX! The store opened on Wednesday, January 11th at 6:00 AM and featured the Angelina County Chamber of Commerce, City of Hudson and Hudson ISD at the 11:00 AM ribbon cutting. Grand Opening fes-tivities included a prize wheel, raffles, giveaways, and appearances by Hudson JV cheerleaders, HighLights, band, and choir. The company demonstrated its commitment to the community on Wednesday by present-ing contributions to first responder and education organizations including Hudson Police Department, Hudson Volunteer Fire Department, and Hudson ISD. Store Director Stephanie Matthews invites her Hudson neighbors to get to know her extraordinary store team. Stephanie has been with Brookshire Brothers for 17 years, previously serving at Lufkin and Diboll locations. Matthews, a Jasper na-tive, leads her store team by example and treats her employees like family. John Watkins joins the Hudson store team as Assistant Store Director, coming over from the Huntington location. The Brookshire Brothers Express features fresh meat and produce, a hot deli with daily specials, Western Union, money orders, and a full-service courtesy booth.
