Brookshire Brothers Charitable Foundation Presents Checks to Brazos Valley 2024 Grant Recipients

The Brookshire Brothers Charitable Foundation celebrated its grant recipients at a check presentation ceremony on January 23rd, 2024.

The Brookshire Brothers Charitable Foundation (BBCF), a 501c3 organization that supports the mission and vision of Brookshire Brothers, Inc., recently announced $133,000 in grants will be distributed to highly deserving nonprofit organizations and educational foundations to help foster stronger communities and families across the states of Texas and Louisiana.

For more than 100 years, Brookshire Brothers has made charitable contributions to aid in the fight against food insecurity and in support of programs and initiatives focused on education, health and wellbeing. In addition to regular donations made by the corporation, the Brookshire Brothers Charitable Foundation furthers the company’s mission by assisting additional agencies on a larger scale each year.  Funded by Brookshire Brothers’ generous vendor partners, the charitable foundation has given away more than two million dollars over the past two decades.

Multiple organizations from the Brazos Valley received their grants during a check presentation ceremony at Brookshire Brothers in College Station, including:

•    The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley (Bryan and Caldwell)
•    Books from Birth (Hearne)
•    BUILD (Texas A&M University)
•    Call for Help (Hearne)
•    College Station ISD Education Foundation (College Station)
•    Progressive Missionary Baptist Church (Hearne)
•    Scotty’s House Brazos Valley Child Advocacy Center (Bryan)

“Our board of directors is truly inspired by everything these organizations are able to accomplish, and we are honored to provide resources to help them further all the good they do," said Brookshire Brothers Charitable Foundation Board Chairman Sally Alvis.
