SUMMARY A Market Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the meat department’s profitability, presentation, sanitation, and training future market managers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. The first and most important responsibility and accountability is to provide friendly, courteous service to our customers. A Market Manager is responsible for budget, inventory control, orders, processing, packaging, labeling, maintaining acceptable retail smoked meat and frozen meat stock level, sanitation and maintaining plan-o-grams. He/she is responsible for scheduling and supervising employees assigned to meat department to insure total customer satisfaction. He/she is responsible to follow all training programs and makes sure all employees in meat department are trained to do their required tasks or job function.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Must have minimum 2 years meat cutting experience.
